  1. 1. Head & Neck--

    Instruction step image

    Make a mr with light green.

    1. 6 sc into the mr (= 6)

    2. 2 sc in every sc (= 12)

    3. 6 x (1 sc, 2 sc into the next sc) (= 18)

    4. 6 x (2 sc, 2 sc into the next sc) (= 24)

    5. 6 x (3 sc, 2 sc into the next sc) (= 30)

    6. 6 x (4 sc, 2 sc into the next sc) (= 36)

    7. 6 x (5 sc, 2 sc into the next sc) (= 42)

    8. 6 x (6 sc, 2 sc into the next sc) (= 48)

    Divide the work into 2 separate parts. Part A (= 30 st) will be the head and part B (= 18 st) will be the neck.

    9A. 30 sc

    Place a stitch marker into the 1st crocheted st of this round.

    Fold the work and start again at the marked st.

    We will now continue with the head. Start the next round (10A) in the marked stitch. (see photo)

    10A - 14A. 30 sc

    Attach the safety eyes after round 12 with 10 st between both eyes.

    15A. 10 sc, 3 x (sc 2 st together, 2 sc), 8 sc (= 27)

    16A. 11 sc, 3 x (sc 2 st together), 10 sc (= 24)

    17A. 6 x (2 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 18)

    18A and 19A. 18 sc

    20A. 6 x (1 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 12)

    21A. 12 sc

    Stuff the head. Fasten off, pull the yarn through the remaining 12 sc and pull tight.

    Attach again at the neck. Leave a long yarn end hanging to close the gap between the head and the neck with a few st.

    12B. 2 sc into the next sc, 7 sc, sc 2 st together, 8 sc (= 18)

  2. 2. Body

    We now continue with the body. If necessary make a few extra sc to make sure that the round ends in the middle at the back of the neck.
    Ch 15 with light green. 

    1. 2 sc into the 2nd ch, 1 sc into the next 13 ch, 1 sc into the next 24 sc, 1 sc into the back of the next 13 ch, 2 sc into the last ch (= 54)

    2. 2 sc into the next 2 sc, 50 sc, 2 sc into the next 2 sc (= 58)

    3. 2 x (1 sc, 2 sc into the next sc), 50 sc, 2 x (1 sc, 2 sc into the next sc) (= 62)

    4. 2 x (2 sc, 2 sc into the next sc), 50 sc, 2 x (2 sc, 2 sc into the next sc) (= 66)

    5. - 13. 66 sc

    14. 6 x (9 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 60)

  3. 3. Legs

    We now will create the legs. The work has to be divided into 4 parts. Make sure that you ended exactly in the middle at the back of the body. If necessary make a few extra sc.

  4. 4. First hind leg

    Make 2 sc, place a stitch marker into the next crocheted sc. This will be the beginning of the 1st leg: 1 sc into the next 10 st. Ch 10 and attach with 1 sl into the 1st st of the leg. This sl doesn't count as a st. The leg is crocheted in a spiral with the 10 sc and the ch.

    1. 1 sc in every st (10 st of the body and the 10 ch)

    2 - 6. 20 sc

    7. 5 x (2 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 15)

    8. 5 x (1 sc, sc 2 st together) (= 10)

    Fasten off and weave in the end.

  5. 5. First Front Leg

    Count 6 st from the 1st hind leg. Attach into the 7th st and place a stitch marker. This is the 1st st of the 1st front leg.

    Make 9 more sc, ch 10 and attach with 1 sl into the 1st st of the leg. This sl doesn't count as a st. We will crochet in spirals again with the 10 sc of the body and the ch.

    Attach the yarn at the side of the body, between the front- and hind leg. Leave a long yarn hanging to sew the belly part onto one of the legs.

    2. - 14. 1 tch, 6 sc (= 6)

    Fasten off. Leave a long yarn hanging to sew the belly part onto the body.

  9. 9. Parts between legs (2x)

    To close the gaps between the front- and hind legs we make 2 more parts. The part is crocheted in rows.

    Attach the yarn again. Leave a long yarn hanging to sew the part onto the legs.

    1. 4 sc

    2. - 5. 1 tch, 4 sc (= 4)

    Fasten off. Leave a long yarn hanging to sew the part onto the legs and the belly.

    Stuff the body and the legs firmly.

    Sew the parts onto the legs and onto the belly. The bottom of the dinosaur is now completely closed. Fasten off and weave in the ends.

  10. 10. Tail

    Make a mr with light green.

    1. 6 sc into the mr (= 6)

    Fasten off and leave a long yarn hanging.

    Divide the dots over the back part of the body and sew them onto the dinosaur.
